J. Petkuvienė has officially taken on the role of director at the Vilnius Procurement Agency after winning a public competition. She has a long history in leadership positions, particularly in the realm of public procurement, having previously served as the head of the Public Procurement Office and chancellor of the Ministry of the Interior. Her appointment is part of the Vilnius city's efforts to centralize procurement processes and improve efficiency.
In her statement, Petkuvienė noted that Vilnius is one of the pioneers in successfully centralizing a significant portion of its procurements. She emphasizes the next step involves consolidating public procurement competencies within a single organization.
