Bolt collaborates with Nvidia to develop the foundations of artificial intelligence for the wider implementation of autonomous vehicles in Europe
The ride-hailing platform Bolt is partnering with technology company Nvidia to create an AI foundation for the development of autonomous vehicles in Europe.
The ride-hailing service Bolt has announced a collaboration with tech giant Nvidia to develop artificial intelligence (AI) foundations for the advancement of autonomous vehicles (AV) in Europe. This initiative was highlighted at the Nvidia GTC 2026 conference and aims to merge Bolt's datasets from shared and ride-hailing fleets with Nvidia's cutting-edge technologies, including the Omniverse, Cosmos, and Alpamayo base models, along with their AI infrastructure.
The primary objective of this partnership is to accelerate the creation of safe, autonomous driving technologies that are tailored to the specifics of European road conditions. The resulting platform is set to be integrated into the Nvidia Drive Hyperion computing and sensor architecture, paving the way for robot taxi services that comply with stringent European safety and performance standards.
Currently, Bolt operates in over 50 countries and 850 cities, serving over 200 million customers. As the company continues to expand its operations, the collaboration with Nvidia is poised to significantly enhance the volume of real-world driving data generated daily through its services, thereby contributing to the development of advanced autonomous driving systems.
