Action offers health and citizenship services in Feira de Santana; learn more

A community project in Feira de Santana, Brazil, provides free health and citizenship services to residents.

The "Feira em Ação" project is set to take place this Saturday in Jaguara, a district in Feira de Santana, Brazil's second-largest city in Bahia. This initiative aims to bring together municipal secretaries to facilitate access to essential services for the population. The event will be held at the Dr. Colbert Martins da Silva Municipal School from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The action will offer various health services, including clinical care, pediatric consultations, scheduling for additional consultations and exams, blood pressure checks, blood sugar testing, vaccination record updates, rapid tests for viral infections, dental triage, and rabies vaccinations for pets. It also aims to assist with citizenship services such as issuing and updating the SUS card, registration and updates for CadÚnico, and providing haircuts, as well as job placement assistance.

This initiative highlights the importance of local government involvement in public health and citizen engagement, particularly in underserved areas. By offering free access to healthcare and essential citizen services, the project not only improves the well-being of residents but also strengthens the community's connection with municipal authorities, potentially leading to greater ongoing support and resources for future initiatives.
