In a recent decision, Poland's Constitutional Tribunal deliberated on a complaint concerning the selection process of judges. The complaint was submitted earlier in February by ruling party lawmakers from PiS, led by Marcin Warchoł and Michał Wójcik. They presented their arguments before the Tribunal, asserting that there were procedural irregularities surrounding the appointment of new judges. As a result of these discussions, the Tribunal decided to formally request a written opinion from President Karol Nawrocki regarding his role in the swearing-in process, giving him until April 17, 2026, to respond.
