Neukeferloh: Self-service location of the district savings bank remains
The self-service ATM location in Neukeferloh will remain operational, while another location will close at the end of June, marking a positive outcome for the municipal administration.
The community administration of Grasbrunn has announced that the self-service ATM location on Saarlandstraße in Neukeferloh will remain open, after negotiations with the Kreissparkasse Munich Starnberg Ebersberg. This decision comes as a relief after earlier indications suggested that the savings bank might completely abandon this location. In exchange for retaining the Neukeferloh site, the ATM at Bretonischen Ring will be closed on June 30.
Outgoing Mayor Klaus Korneder from the SPD has hailed this development as a positive outcome for the residents. Early in the year, there were concerns that the only ATM in the area would be completely removed, a situation that would have limited access to banking services for local residents. The mayor personally advocated for the preservation of the Neukeferloh site, engaging in discussions with the bank's chairman, Andreas Frühschütz, to stress the importance of maintaining the service for the community.
This decision underlines the efforts of local officials to ensure that essential services remain accessible to residents, especially in smaller communities where banking facilities can be scarce. By preserving this self-service ATM, the municipality aims to ensure that residents have continuous access to cash and banking services, while planning for the closure of the other outdated ATM location.
