Concert in Oberhaching: Folk Music of a Different Kind
A unique concert featuring three Bavarian musicians will take place on March 19 in Oberhaching, offering a blend of folk music with contemporary influences.
Under the motto 'Heimatklang neu gedacht' (Home Sound Reimagined), a concert featuring three iconic Bavarian musicians will occur in Oberhaching on March 19. The performers include Sebastian Horn, the frontman of the bands Dreiviertelblut and Bananafishbones; the multi-instrumentalist and cabaret artist Josef Brustmann; and bassist Benni Schäfer, known for transitioning from punk to passionate jazz. They will creatively combine zither, guitar, and bass along with harmonized vocals, promising a sincere and intense musical experience through both new compositions and traditional folk songs.
The evening is dedicated to the river that connects all three musicians – the Isar. Each performer has roots in nearby towns: Brustmann hails from Icking, Schäfer from Geretsried, and Horn from Lenggries. This geographical bond adds a personal touch to the concert as it celebrates their shared heritage while introducing a modern twist on folk music. The concert, titled 'Isara Rapidus', will commence at 8 PM at the Bürgersaal by Forstner in Oberhaching.
Tickets for this unique event are available through the official Oberhaching website and via Reservix, indicating the community's support and anticipation for this innovative blend of traditional and contemporary music.
