Bulldozer Action on the Shops of Ajay Singh, Accused in Badaun Murder Case
The district administration of Badaun has demolished illegal shops owned by Ajay Pratap Singh, the main accused in the murder of two officials at an HPCL plant.
In a significant administrative move, the Badaun district authorities have taken action against the illegal properties of Ajay Pratap Singh, the main accused in the shocking murder of two officials at an HPCL CBG plant in Sahajani, Uttar Pradesh. The authorities, accompanied by police forces, demolished illegal shops that were constructed without proper permissions along the roadside outside the village of Sahajani. This operation was preceded by a notice process aimed at ensuring the removal of illegal constructions in light of maintaining law and order in the area.
The incident that sparked this administrative crackdown occurred on March 12 when Ajay Pratap Singh allegedly entered the HPCL plant premises and shot dead Deputy General Manager Sudhir Kumar Gupta and AGM Harshit Mishra. Following this shocking incident, Singh was apprehended by the police during an encounter, sustaining gunshot wounds to both legs. This display of violence has raised concerns about safety in the region and prompted the local government to take swift action against Singh's illegal enterprises.
Furthermore, the authorities had previously suspended the officer in charge of the Mousa Jhaag police station along with the local in-charge due to their handling of the situation regarding Singh. The demolition of his illegal properties reflects an ongoing effort by local governments in India to address and curb illegal activities, reinforcing their commitment to public safety and the rule of law as they respond to violent crime incidents like this one.
