The author contends that since 1998, the country has not witnessed such a lackluster performance from key ministers, specifically naming the ministers of finance, foreign affairs, and internal affairs. This ineptitude has resulted in failed consolidation efforts, a chaotic foreign policy, and a deterioration of the police force. Meanwhile, Fico's Smer party, alongside Hlas and SNS, enjoys comparable public support to the coalition led by Igor Matovič amid the pandemic, suggesting a shift in political allegiances.
