Operatives from the Akwa Ibom State Police Command captured Koabasi Marsodi, a graduate of Animal Science from the University of Uyo, during a police raid on March 15, 2026. This operation was part of ‘Operation Zero Black Spots,’ an initiative aimed at targeting criminal hideouts and illegal activities throughout the region. Marsodi was found in possession of a facility used for the fabrication of illegal arms.

The police were prompted to act on credible intelligence that pointed to Marsodi's activities, leading them to a location on Idem Street in Uyo, where they suspected illegal operations were taking place. In the same raid, authorities uncovered a production setup for illicit chin-chin snacks that reportedly contained Indian hemp, further indicating the multifaceted criminal enterprise linked to the suspect.
