Kebbi community hails Idris, aide over Ramadan palliatives
Residents of Zauro community in Kebbi State praise Governor Idris for timely distribution of Ramadan food aid.
Residents of Zauro community in Birnin Kebbi Local Government Area, Kebbi State, have expressed their gratitude towards Governor Dr. Nasir Idris for the timely distribution of Ramadan palliatives. They noted that the distribution of 6,500 tonnes of assorted grains has provided significant relief to many households during the holy month of fasting. This humanitarian intervention has been met with appreciation and seen as a critical support to the community amid the fasting period.
In addition to the state's efforts, Hon. Shafiu Dan Malam Zauro, the Governorβs Special Adviser on Special Duties, further supported the initiative by distributing food items to 1,500 beneficiaries within the Zauro community itself. At a recent event, the distribution included substantial quantities of 50kg bags of rice and cartons of spaghetti, aimed at supporting various groups including religious leaders, individuals with special needs, and local party executives. This additional support underscores the local government's commitment to addressing food security and providing for vulnerable populations.
Community leader Alhaji Usman Magatakarda highlighted the distribution as a large-scale humanitarian intervention, reinforcing the positive impact of both the Governor's and the aide's initiatives. Such efforts not only aid in alleviating immediate hunger but also strengthen community ties during a period that emphasizes charity and togetherness.
