Teresina Metro will reduce the number of trips between March 16 and 28; check the schedules
The Teresina Metro will reduce its number of trips due to railway construction from March 16 to 28, 2026.
The Teresina Metro system will implement a temporary reduction in its number of trips from March 16 to March 28, 2026, as part of ongoing railway construction works. This decision arises from the need for relocation and interconnection of the train line between the Piçarra Station and the R. Olavo Bilac Viaduct. Throughout this period, the railway operator, Companhia Ferroviária e de Logística do Piauí, announced that work will take place daily from 9 AM to 5 PM, resulting in a limited number of services available to passengers. During the morning commute, only the first two journeys will be conducted at 6:40 AM and 8:00 AM, commencing from the Itararé Terminal, while in the afternoon, only the last two trips at 5:20 PM and 6:40 PM will be operational, departing from the Engenheiro Alberto Silva Station. The operator emphasized that these adjustments are temporary in nature and specifically designed to facilitate the execution of essential works on the railway. Once the construction activities are completed, the regular circulation of train services is expected to resume, thereby returning to standard operational schedules and services for the users of the Teresina Metro system.
