The Oyo State Police Command has launched an appeal to residents for help in identifying a woman whose lifeless body was discovered in the Egbeda Local Government Area. The police received a report from a good Samaritan who found the corpse around a car wash stand near the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway on Saturday. This report prompted an immediate response from the police, led by the Divisional Crime Officer of the Egbeda Division, who investigated the scene.

Upon their arrival at the location around Ile Marun, the police observed the deceased woman lying in a drainage channel, indicating that the body had been abandoned. The Police Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, emphasized the urgency of the situation, hoping that members of the community might provide insights or identify the victim. This incident raises concerns about safety and community awareness in the area, especially regarding incidents of violence or neglect that could lead to such tragic outcomes.

As the investigation unfolds, the police are appealing to anyone with information about the woman's identity or circumstances surrounding her death to come forward.
