The reconstruction of Palma will start next year. The first phase will offer 270 apartments
The redevelopment of the former Palma factory in Bratislava is set to begin next year, providing 270 apartments in its first phase along with administrative buildings.
The long-awaited reconstruction of the Palma factory site in Bratislava is scheduled to commence next year, according to local developer Corwin. Originally projected to begin in 2028, the timeline has significantly advanced due to recent developments in the permitting process. The first phase will include 270 housing units and one administrative building, as well as infrastructure upgrades on the adjacent Račianska Street.
Corwin has been working on the project for over two years, having submitted the initial plans to local authorities and subsequently receiving the necessary approvals for the first phase. The project is a significant part of the local redevelopment strategy for the area, transforming a once industrious site into a residential zone, which could lighten the housing crisis in Bratislava. Additionally, nearly 60 of the apartments will be allocated to the city's rental housing fund, aiming to provide affordable housing options in the capital.
The first phase will focus on the northern section of the former factory grounds, strategically located next to Račianska Street and the Novej Cvernovky area. The project not only reflects the city's commitment to urban renewal but also highlights the increasing demand for housing within Bratislava, promising to rejuvenate the community and stimulate economic activity in the region.
