The annual statement opens Monday with several new initiatives
Denmark's annual tax statement will feature new changes, including annual statements for children under 15 and improved security measures against digital fraud.
Starting Monday, Danes will gain access to their annual tax statements, which this year will include significant changes as provided by the Danish Tax Authority. Notably, children under the age of 15 will now receive annual statements automatically accessible to their parents. Moreover, the distribution of interest will now occur automatically, particularly beneficial for cases where multiple individuals share loans or savings accounts.
In an effort to combat digital fraud, the Tax Authority will exclusively notify citizens of their annual tax statements via Digital Post, abandoning notifications through SMS or email. This shift reflects a broader concern regarding the rising threats of digital scams and aims to provide an additional layer of security for the citizens handling sensitive financial information.
Additionally, recognizing that some citizens may not have access to Digital Post, a special phone line has been established to facilitate quicker assistance for those receiving their annual statements by traditional mail. This initiative underscores the Tax Authority's commitment to ensuring that all citizens, regardless of their digital capabilities, can access necessary tax information efficiently and safely.
