'Our MLAs would not have betrayed us...', Tejashwi's pain spilled over after losing Rajya Sabha elections

Tejashwi Yadav, leader of the RJD, criticized the BJP following the expected NDA victory in Bihar's Rajya Sabha elections, blaming betrayal from his own party's MLAs.

In the aftermath of the anticipated victory of the NDA in the Bihar Rajya Sabha elections, Tejashwi Yadav, the leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), expressed his anguish over the outcome. He accused the BJP of utilizing financial power and manipulation tactics to sway recent election results and claimed that the betrayal of his own MLAs was a significant factor in the loss. Tejashwi emphasized that had his legislators remained loyal, victory would have been certain.

Tejashwi's remarks came immediately after speaking to the media outside the Bihar Assembly, where he reaffirmed his party's commitment to continuing the struggle against the BJP's influence, which he described as an interference in democratic principles through coercion and buying loyalty. He remained optimistic about future battles, indicating that there would still be a day when their efforts would yield success against what he branded as the corrupt political practices of the BJP.

Additionally, Tejashwi spoke about the strength of the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) coalition, stating that they were only a few MLAs short of sufficient strength to challenge the NDA directly. He made it clear that despite setbacks, they would persist in their fight against the BJP's ideology and its manipulative strategies in politics.
