The premiere of Kanal 2's entertainment show "Song vs. Dance" saw the first semifinalists revealed through a series of competitive performances between singers and dancers.

Kanal 2's new entertainment show "Song vs. Dance" kicked off with a thrilling premiere featuring various performers, including singers, dance troupes, and breakdancers. The format includes four musical performances and an equal number of dance performances each episode, leading to a duel-based competition. From each episode, four acts will advance to the semifinals, with the final winner to be determined by public voting during the finale in May.

In the first duel of the season, 15-year-old classical singer Lilian Sauvola faced off against the competitive dance group Ballroom Theatre, coached by singer Alika Milova's sister, Valeria Milova. Sauvola's powerful performance impressed the judges, particularly head judge Evelin Võigemast, who praised the young artist for discovering her passion at such a young age and expressed excitement for her future in opera. Artistic director of the Estonian National Ballet, Linnar Looris, noted that Sauvola's voice gave him chills, declaring, "You have a mega future!"

The show's engaging format and focus on young talent highlight the vibrant arts scene in Estonia, providing a platform for emerging performers to showcase their skills. The praise for Sauvola's performance indicates a promising career ahead, potentially inspiring more young artists to pursue their dreams in the performing arts. As the competition progresses, the ultimate winner will not only gain recognition but also have the opportunity to influence the next generation of performers in Estonia.
