Judges Will Inspect The Site... High Court's Major Decision on the Bhojshala Dispute
The Madhya Pradesh High Court has decided that judges will visit the Bhojshala-Kamal Maula Mosque complex due to ongoing disputes, with the next hearing scheduled for April 2.
The Indore bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court has made a significant observation regarding the sensitive Bhojshala-Kamal Maula Mosque complex dispute in Dhar district. A bench comprising Justice Vijay Kumar Shukla and Justice Alok Awasthi stated that due to the numerous controversies surrounding the case, they would personally inspect the complex before the next hearing scheduled for April 2. The decision to visit signifies the court’s intent to acquire firsthand insights into the disputed site where multiple petitions have been filed.
During their oral remarks, the judges indicated their desire to visit the site considering the complexity of the disputes involved. They stressed that their inspection, planned for before the court session on April 2, will not be attended by any party involved in the case, ensuring the integrity of the judicial process. This measure reflects the court's commitment to understanding the on-ground reality before deliberating further on the matter in future hearings.
Moreover, the court also accepted various interim applications related to the case and allowed the parties to submit documents and affidavits concerning these applications. The High Court has emphasized the need for a thorough exploration of the complexities surrounding the Bhojshala dispute, which continues to raise questions about religious and cultural significance in the area, potentially impacting communal relations in the region if not handled sensitively.
