In the early hours of Monday, a long-distance bus overturned on Route 9 in Argentina, resulting in more than 40 injuries among the passengers. The incident occurred near Gobernador Castro, in the San Pedro area, specifically at kilometer 177. The bus was carrying 50 people traveling from Córdoba Capital to Mar del Plata when the accident took place, surprising many as they were asleep at the time.

The severity of injuries varied, with one individual suffering severe abdominal injuries that necessitated urgent surgery. The rest of the injured were taken to the Dr. Emilio Ruffa Municipal Hospital in San Pedro for treatment. Initial reports indicated that 45 patients were brought to the emergency room, and after primary care, 25 of them were discharged, while others remained under observation for various conditions including minor injuries and multiple traumas, particularly affecting the shoulders and elbows.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the accident, and emergency response teams have been praised for their swift reaction in managing the casualties.
