The state still has 2021 services to digitize, i.e., more than half

The Czech government has over 2000 services left to digitize, with plans to complete the process by 2027.

The Czech government currently faces the challenge of digitizing a significant portion of its services, with 2021 services still pending digital transformation. According to the Digital Information Agency (DIA), 6167 out of 9379 total services have been identified for digitization, of which 2177 have been exempted from the requirement due to low usage frequency. The remaining 3990 services are subject to digitization plans, with 1969 already available in digital format.

Deputy Minister of the Interior Lukáš Klučka announced intentions to have all services digitized by 2027, as the government accelerates its digital transformation initiatives. Currently, there are 1765 services under development, with completion expected by February 2027. However, there are still 256 services that need clarification, often due to interdepartmental discussions that the DIA is currently handling.

This digitization effort reflects a broader trend in government services towards efficiency and accessibility, aiming to reduce bureaucratic barriers and improve public service delivery. The outcome of this initiative could significantly impact how citizens interact with government services, showcasing the importance of digital platforms in modern governance.
