More than half of the country on alert for storms: when will the rains arrive in the City of Buenos Aires

The National Meteorological Service has issued a storm alert for over half of Argentina, predicting significant rainfall and strong winds, particularly affecting Buenos Aires and 15 provinces.

The National Meteorological Service (SMN) of Argentina has issued a weather alert indicating that more than half of the country is expected to experience storms and strong winds in the coming days. Specifically, the alert affects 15 provinces, with special emphasis on the imminent arrival of significant rainfalls in the City of Buenos Aires. The forecasts predict that rain will begin to hit the capital with intensity tomorrow, coinciding with rising temperatures and increased humidity that suggest the impact of this weather phenomenon.

Currently, alerts of yellow and orange levels are active across various regions, with forecasts predicting varying intensity rainfall for the southwest areas of Santa Cruz, Neuquén, and western Río Negro, as well as for northwestern Chubut where strong winds are also anticipated. In Mendoza's northern and southern regions, and southern San Juan, the 'zonda' wind pattern will be a significant factor contributing to the storms, along with the potential for rain disrupting everyday activities.

As the situation develops, residents in affected areas are urged to stay informed and cautious as storms are expected to intensify across vast parts of the country, including La Pampa, San Luis, La Rioja, Córdoba, Santa Fe, Formosa, Corrientes, Misiones, and large portions of Buenos Aires province and the city itself. The forecast signifies a shift in weather pattern that brings not only precipitation but also poses risks due to strong winds and potential flooding, necessitating preparedness from local communities and emergency services.
