After leaving her home in Belgrade, María Boneo encountered grave challenges and frequent nightmares as she tried to find meaning in her life in Argentina. Her early experiences were marked by fear and bullying, as she struggled to fit in at school where her foreign background made her feel isolated from her peers. Moving from school to school in the hope of finding a better environment only exacerbated her feelings of alienation, leading her to a differential school that failed to provide the support she needed.
