Emergency responders utilized climbing ladders and rescue ropes to retrieve her body from the well. Following the initial investigation by the Šiauliai County Police, no external injuries were identified on the remains of the 76-year-old woman, suggesting that the circumstances surrounding her death are still being investigated.
