In Raseiniai, a man tragically died from gas poisoning, confirmed by the Kaunas Fire Rescue Board. The emergency services received a call at approximately 18:40, indicating that the man had been exposed to gas in his home. Rescuers carried out measures to vent the premises, but sadly, the 56-year-old man was declared dead at the scene after rescuers brought out the gas canister. Meanwhile, early Sunday morning, around 6:50 AM, another tragedy unfolded in Pakruojis when a report was received about a woman who had fallen into a well on Saulėtekio Street. Emergency responders utilized climbing ladders and rescue ropes to retrieve her body from the well. Following the initial investigation by the Šiauliai County Police, no external injuries were identified on the remains of the 76-year-old woman, suggesting that the circumstances surrounding her death are still being investigated. These incidents highlight ongoing concerns regarding safety in homes and public areas, particularly around gas exposure and inadequate safety measures in well locations.
