Shivalik crosses Hormuz... Bringing 45 thousand metric tons of LPG from Gulf countries, gas crisis will be resolved!

The Indian LPG tanker Shivalik is en route to Gujarat's Mundra port, bringing significant relief by delivering 45,000 metric tons of LPG amidst ongoing tensions in West Asia.

In the context of rising tensions in West Asia, there is good news for India as the Indian-flagged LPG tanker Shivalik LPG Carrier is on its way to Gujarat's Mundra port. The tanker has safely navigated through the conflict-affected Strait of Hormuz and is carrying more than 45,000 metric tons of LPG, expected to alleviate the ongoing supply shortages in the country. This delivery comes at a crucial time, providing hope for consumers dealing with the rising gas crisis.

Recent conflicts in the region, particularly the Iran-Israel conflict, have led to several vessels getting stuck in the Strait of Hormuz, creating supply disruptions. However, through continuous diplomatic efforts by the Indian government, two Indian LPG tankers were granted permission to exit the strait. The Shivalik's imminent arrival marks a significant milestone in restoring gas supplies, with another vessel, Nanda Devi, set to reach Kandla port the following day.

Additionally, there is another Indian-flagged oil tanker, Jag Laadki, that has also departed from Fujairah in the UAE carrying approximately 80,800 tons of crude oil towards India. This coordinated effort underscores the government's commitment to ensuring the safety and timely delivery of essential resources, as it continues to monitor the situation of Indian vessels and crew members in the volatile region.
