Unexpected conclusion of the girl's disappearance: found alive and well after six years
Karen Rojas, who disappeared at five years old, has been found alive in North Carolina after being missing for nearly six years.
Karen Rojas, who was kidnapped at the age of five, was last seen in Duarte, California, on June 2, 2020. Initially, suspicions fell on her mother, who had stopped communicating with the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, leading authorities to believe she may have taken Karen with her. However, after nearly a month, an official missing child report was released by the department on July 1, confirming the girl's disappearance.
After years of silence, detectives received information on March 6 of this year that the now 11-year-old girl might be located in North Carolina, almost 4,000 kilometers from her disappearance site. Following this lead, local authorities acted on March 10 and successfully located Karen at a school, confirming her safety and well-being.
