Irivaldo Sulpino dos Santos, a 55-year-old taxi driver, was shot in the head while at the bus station in Cachoeiras de Macacu, a town located in the metropolitan area of Rio de Janeiro. The incident occurred on Saturday night, around 8:20 PM, and despite efforts from emergency responders who rushed him to the municipal hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are currently under investigation by the police.

According to the Civil Police, the victim was known as Galego and was found with a .380 caliber pistol at his waist when emergency workers arrived. Witnesses have indicated that the attackers were two men riding a motorcycle, suggesting a targeted attack.
