In Croatia, there is growing concern over the presence of organizations promoting questionable and often inappropriate content for children in the educational system. This has become particularly pronounced with the introduction of 'Health Education' and 'Health Promotion' initiatives that, under the guise of their titles, include potentially problematic material which sexualizes elementary school children, particularly in Zagreb and Rijeka. In response to these developments, the Article 64 Association was formed, named after Article 64 of the Croatian Constitution, which guarantees parents the right to decide on their children's upbringing.

The association aims to aid parents in articulating their demands to schools regarding the educational content that their children are exposed to. It offers various resources, including templates for communication with the education system, designed to empower parents when they feel the content or practices their children encounter are unsuitable. Among the resources available are sample letters for parents who are concerned about their children being involved in social transition processes of other students and requests for exemptions from certain activities.

This initiative highlights a larger debate surrounding parental rights in education and the nature of educational content being delivered to children in Croatia. With some parents feeling that their children's exposure to certain themes is inappropriate, the Article 64 Association seeks to provide a platform for expressing their concerns effectively, potentially altering how educational material is approached in schools and contributing to ongoing discussions about children's rights and education policy in the country.
