More than 5,000 workers in Amapá receive Salary Bonus starting Monday (16)
The Brazilian Ministry of Labor and Employment will begin payments of the Salary Bonus on Monday for workers born in February, benefiting 5,396 employees in Amapá.
Starting Monday, the Brazilian Ministry of Labor and Employment (MTE) will initiate the payment of the Salary Bonus to workers born in February. In Amapá alone, 5,396 workers are eligible for this benefit, resulting in a total of R$ 5.3 million allocated to the state. This initiative is part of a broader national program, where a total of 2,021,972 workers across Brazil will receive the Salary Bonus, amounting to approximately R$ 2.5 billion nationwide.
The Salary Bonus value varies between R$ 136 and R$ 1,162, depending on the number of months worked during the base year of 2023. To qualify for this benefit, workers must meet specific criteria, including having been registered in the PIS/PASEP for at least five years, maintaining an average monthly salary of up to R$ 2,766 in the base year of 2024, and having worked for a minimum of 30 days in the same year. Additionally, employers must ensure that data is accurately reported in the eSocial system to facilitate these payments.
The payment will be processed through the Caixa Econômica Federal, which will ensure that eligible workers receive their bonuses in a timely manner. This program aims to provide financial relief to eligible workers, helping to stimulate the local economy in Amapá and across Brazil as these funds are redistributed among households in need.
