Audi RS3: what it is like to drive the brand's most powerful sedan available in Brazil

The Audi RS3 returns to Brazil as the brand's most powerful sedan, priced between R$ 659,990 and R$ 714,990, and features extensive use of carbon fiber in its design.

The Audi RS3 has made its comeback in Brazil after being absent since 2018, reestablishing itself as the most powerful sedan offered by the Volkswagen group brand. While the Audi RS Q8 boasts greater power, it is classified as a coupé SUV, which significantly differs in concept and pricing. The RS3's pricing starts at R$ 659,990 and goes up to R$ 714,990, surpassing the cost of two conventional A3 models that begin at R$ 314,990, highlighting the RS3's premium positioning within Audi's lineup.

Equipped with a 2.5 TFSI five-cylinder engine that delivers an impressive 400 horsepower, the RS3 also showcases extensive use of carbon fiber across various elements, including door sills, mirrors, seat backs, bumpers, and the rear spoiler, which contribute to both aesthetics and weight reduction. The RS3 is offered in two versions that differ primarily in finishes, with one featuring sportier bucket seats and upgraded carbon-ceramic brakes that enhance durability under intense driving conditions, which is a key aspect for performance enthusiasts.

The G1 team spent a full day at the Panamerican Circuit near Campinas (SP) to assess the Audi RS3’s performance and safety features on the track. This hands-on experience aimed to push the Audi RS3 to its limits while ensuring safety, providing insights into the sedan's performance dynamics and capabilities in a controlled environment. The tests demonstrated not only the vehicle's power but also its engineering designed for high-performance driving, thus appealing to both car collectors and racing aficionados in Brazil.
