The agent takes care of Jarkko's shopping at S-market

A Helsinki resident, Jarkko, is using an AI agent named Seppo to manage daily tasks like grocery shopping and more.

Jarkko, a resident of Helsinki, has started utilizing an AI agent called Seppo to handle mundane daily tasks. This AI is based on open-source software and operates independently, using a web browser much like a human. Already, Seppo has successfully made grocery purchases online, and Jarkko plans for it to go on to compare electricity contracts and insurance options next. While excited about the efficiency gains, Jarkko reminds users to remain vigilant about data security when employing such technology.

The initiative started in early February when Jarkko decided to explore the potential benefits of AI in his everyday life. Amid various discussions around the misuse or careless use of artificial intelligence, he wondered if it could indeed provide tangible improvements in day-to-day living. His early experiences have been encouraging, prompting him to share updates on LinkedIn, where he mentioned that Seppo had already completed a grocery run for him.

Jarkko installed the open-source tool named OpenClaw, which serves as his personal AI assistant, and he affectionately dubbed it Seppo. For grocery shopping, Seppo creates meal plans and lists the necessary ingredients, effectively streamlining Jarkko's shopping experience. As more people look towards integrating AI into their everyday tasks, Jarkko's approach highlights both the potential advantages and the caution needed in utilizing such technologies.
