'My House, My Life' program benefits 192 families in new residential area in Manaus; check the list

The 'My House, My Life' program has provided housing for 192 families in a new residential complex in Manaus, Brazil.

The 'My House, My Life' program, a collaborative effort between the Prefeitura de Manaus and the federal government, has successfully benefitted 192 families with new housing in the Morar Melhor 13 residential project located in the Parque das Tribos neighborhood of Manaus. This initiative aims to address housing shortages in the area and enhance living conditions for low-income families who have been waiting for housing assistance. The project supports the local community while also reflecting Brazil’s ongoing commitment to improve public housing.

The selection of the 192 families was conducted based on established criteria set forth by the Ministry of Cities and the Municipal Secretariat for Housing and Land Affairs (Semhaf). The list of chosen families was officially released through the Diário Oficial do Município and made accessible to the public. These families will now have the opportunity to reside in modern apartments designed to provide a better living environment, which is a significant step toward reducing the backlog of housing demands in Manaus.

Manaus Mayor David Almeida emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating the program’s goal is to ensure dignified living conditions for families who have been in search of adequate housing for many years. This development is not only a vital contribution to the individual families who have been selected, but also a critical part of the broader program aimed at alleviating housing issues in one of Brazil's rapidly growing urban centers.
