Finnish successful performance at Holmenkollen

Finnish ski jumpers Niko Kytösaho and Antti Aalto continued their strong performances at the Holmenkollen ski jump event, finishing sixth and eighth respectively.

In a remarkable display of talent, Finnish ski jumpers Niko Kytösaho and Antti Aalto excelled at the prestigious Holmenkollen ski jump event, both securing spots in the top ten. Kytösaho finished in sixth place, having started strong in the first round with a jump of 131 meters. Despite a slightly shorter jump in the second round at 125.5 meters, he maintained a commendable ranking, narrowly missing the fifth position by just 2.1 points, showcasing his competitive edge against established jumpers like Japan's Naoki Nakamura.

This performance marks Kytösaho's second-best individual result in his World Cup career, following his fifth place finish in Willingen earlier in the year. Together, both Kytösaho and Aalto demonstrated consistency as they previously also reached the top ten in the Lahti World Cup event just the weekend before. The last time two Finnish men made it to the top ten was back in January 2014, highlighting the significance of this achievement in Finnish ski jumping history.

Additionally, Kytösaho and Aalto made waves in the super team competition in Lahti, where they finished surprisingly strong in third place. This collective success hints at a resurgence in Finnish ski jumping, with both athletes poised for potential future victories as they continue to build momentum into the remainder of the season.
