The military police received a call while on patrol about the attempted homicide and quickly arrived at the scene. Despite the woman's injuries, she was able to provide a statement identifying her assailant as her former partner. Following the attack, the suspect fled the scene, prompting police to launch a search operation in the surrounding area to apprehend him.
