In a recent statement, Israeli Ambassador to India, Rouven Azar, argued that Iran's military threats could extend to influencing Indian sovereignty, particularly referencing a hypothetical scenario concerning when Indians might cook. This remark was made during a discussion at the India Today Conclave in New Delhi, during which he elaborated on Israel's current military operations against Iran. Since the onset of the conflict, Israel has targeted approximately 15,000 military installations in Iran that pose significant threats to national security.

Azar outlined two primary threats from Iran, which necessitated the military actions: their expansive ballistic missile program and their nuclear ambitions. He warned that Iran was in the process of developing around 20,000 ballistic missiles capable of devastating strikes across the region, including against Israel. The ambassador claimed that Israel's intervention had significantly disrupted these programs, implying a strategic necessity behind their operational decisions.

He further elaborated on the diminished capacity of Iran's military following Israel's offensive operations, noting the destruction of their production facilities, which has hindered their ability to conduct operations against Israel. Azar stated that in June, Iranian forces targeted 30 buildings, while their capacity to strike back has now been greatly reduced, highlighting a shift in the balance of military power in the region as a result of these ongoing conflicts.
