Unstoppable Suwon Samsung crush Jeonnam Dragons 2-0... Three consecutive wins in K League 2 opening

Suwon Samsung continues its strong performance in K League 2 with a 2-0 victory over Jeonnam Dragons, marking its third consecutive win since the season's start.

Suwon Samsung, a strong contender for the K League 2 title, achieved a decisive 2-0 victory over Jeonnam Dragons in the third round of the league. The match took place at Suwon World Cup Stadium on the 14th, where Suwon's new signing, Jung Ho-yeon, opened the scoring at the 34th minute with a well-placed shot, assisted by Park Dae-won. Then, in the 70th minute, another new acquisition, Heis, scored with a header from a corner kick, securing the win for the team.

This victory is significant for Suwon, which failed to secure promotion to K League 1 for two consecutive years. Heading into this season, they appointed Lee Jung-hyo as the coach and bolstered their squad with key players, including Jung Ho-yeon and Heis, both of whom have previously played under their coach at Gwangju FC. The team's aggressive recruitment strategy seems to be paying off, as they’ve managed to maintain an undefeated record in the opening matches of the season.

Simultaneously, Suwon FC, another local team, also celebrated their third consecutive victory by defeating Gimhae FC 2-1 in an away match. With nine points each, both Suwon FC and Suwon Samsung are currently placed first and second in the league, with Suwon FC leading on goal difference, which adds a competitive edge to the implications of their performances in the early stage of the season.
