Ukraine has taken delivery of two Phantom MK-1 humanoid robots intended for military applications, marking one of the first tests of robotic soldiers in real combat scenarios. The delivery comes as Ukraine continues its five-year struggle against Russia, effectively becoming a testing ground for new military technologies and defense start-ups from around the globe. The American company Foundation has deployed these humanoid robots, which are touted as the first in the world developed specifically for defense purposes, to assess their performance in practical warfare situations.

According to a report by Time magazine, these two Phantom robots will undergo evaluations in Ukraine to determine their effectiveness on the battlefield. Co-founder of Foundation, Mike LeBlanc, explained that humanoid soldiers could prove invaluable for logistics and reconnaissance, especially in locations inaccessible to drones, such as bunkers.
