‘I will not die of love’ and ‘The garden we dreamed’ win the Biznagas de Oro at the Málaga Festival

The Málaga Festival concluded its eventful run on Saturday with a glamorous awards ceremony, hosted by Elena Sánchez and Masi Rodríguez. The Biznaga de Oro for Best Spanish Film was awarded to ‘I will not die of love,’ marking the feature debut of director Marta Matute. In addition to the top prize, the film received accolades for Best Female Performance for Júlia Mascort and Best Supporting Male Performance for Tomás del Estal, highlighting the film's strong performances and emotional impact. On the other hand, the Biznaga de Plata for Best Ibero-American Film went to ‘The garden we dreamed’ by Mexican director Joaquín del Paso, who also won the award for Best Direction. The film received positive reviews and stunned audiences, further reflecting the festival's dedication to promoting diverse narratives and artistic expressions from the Ibero-American region.
