In the recent Champions Cup match, Lithuania's three-man basketball team started off strong, initially leading with a score of 2-0 after Aurelijaus Pukelio's two-point shot. However, Serbia quickly regrouped, taking control of the game by scoring 8 points to 4 within just three minutes. As the game progressed, Lithuania struggled to keep pace with Serbia, who maintained their lead, entering the midway point of the match with an 11-7 advantage. Despite narrowing the gap to 13-15 in the last three minutes, Lithuania faced difficulties in closing the score as time ran out.

With only 120 seconds left on the clock, Serbia led with an 18-14 score, but Lithuania made a strong push, bringing the score to 16-18 within a minute. Unfortunately, their attempts to save the game with two-point shots were unsuccessful, leading to Serbia's victory when the final buzzer sounded. M. Užupis scored the most points for Lithuania with 7, followed by E. Džiaugys, who contributed 6 points. For Serbia, standout players included Filipas Kaludžerovičius and M. Brankovičius, scoring 7 and 6 points respectively.

Looking ahead, Lithuania will continue their participation in the tournament with a match scheduled against Thailand on Saturday. Earlier, Lithuania had a notable victory in their group match against Spain, the reigning world champions, showcasing their competitive spirit and capability amidst challenging opponents.
