"Oleksin võinud varem jaole saada." A seriously ill mother encourages women to see a doctor
A cancer treatment foundation has offered support to Heli Käär, a mother battling aggressive breast cancer, as she shares her experience to encourage other women to seek medical help sooner.
Heli Käär, a mother of two living in Lüganuse County, Estonia, is fighting aggressive stage 4 breast cancer and has recently received support from the cancer treatment foundation "Kingitud Elu." In her candid reflections, Heli admits to having delayed visiting a doctor due to fear, and now hopes her story will motivate other women to act quickly regarding their health. Her treatment costs over €12,000, and without the foundation's assistance, she wouldn't have been able to afford the necessary medical care.
Throughout her journey, Heli expresses regret for not seeking medical attention sooner, revealing that she avoided confronting her illness for quite some time. Now approaching 40, Heli emphasizes the importance of early detection and the dangers of delaying treatment, especially in cases as serious as hers. She candidly states, "Today I know I could have reacted sooner," highlighting the urgency and importance of being proactive about one's health.
Despite trying several treatment methods, Heli has yet to achieve the desired results but remains hopeful due to the ongoing support from the foundation and medical professionals. Her experience serves as a warning and an encouragement for other women, stressing that timely medical intervention can play a crucial role in health outcomes, especially in life-threatening situations such as cancer.
