UP board adds new features to mark sheets, they won't tear or get damaged by water

The UP Board has introduced significant changes to the mark sheets for students, ensuring they are more secure and durable with 16 added security features.

The Uttar Pradesh Board has announced major updates to the mark sheets for students of classes 10 and 12, following the completion of examinations on March 12, 2026. Students are awaiting their results with anticipation, and these new mark sheets promise to be much stronger and more resilient than previous versions. The initiative aims to combat the rising issue of fake mark sheets prevalent among students, providing a more secure document that can withstand wear, tear, and damage from water.

The enhanced mark sheets will incorporate 16 different security features, making them challenging to duplicate. Some of these features will be easily identifiable, while others will require specific tools for detection. This strategic shift is designed to bolster the integrity of academic credentials in Uttar Pradesh, addressing concerns of academic dishonesty and fraud.

Additional elements like holograms and security codes will be integrated into the new mark sheets, ensuring they reflect modern printing technology such as watermarks and rainbow printing, which adds layers of authenticity. By strengthening the security of mark sheets, the UP Board aims to give students, parents, and educational institutions greater confidence in the value of academic achievements, fostering a more trustworthy educational environment.
