Liberia's Foreign Minister, Sara Beysolow Nyanti, made history as the first African official to arrive at Khartoum International Airport since its reopening two months ago. Upon her arrival, she was greeted by Sudan's Foreign Minister, Ambassador Mohi El-Din Salem, and they took part in a significant meeting with the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan. This visit marks a pivotal moment for Liberia as it seeks to strengthen its ties with Sudan, signifying a renewed commitment to diplomatic relations in the region.

During the discussions, a memorandum of understanding was signed, which the Liberian minister described as paving the way for consultations on various bilateral issues.
