The sun reappears in parts of the Southeast, but storms continue in the North and between Minas and Espírito Santo
After several days of rain and cloudy skies in parts of Brazil's Southeast, some areas are expected to have more sunshine this weekend, although storms will persist in the North and certain regions.
After experiencing several days of rain and overcast skies, the Southeast region of Brazil is forecasted to see more sun this weekend, particularly in states like São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. These areas have accumulated substantial rainfall throughout the week, but the trend now points towards more frequent sunny periods. That said, conditions will not be completely dry, as isolated showers are expected in the afternoons typical of the warm and humid season.
In the city of São Paulo, the weather on Saturday will feature sun with some clouds, along with a possibility of brief afternoon showers. Temperatures are anticipated to hover around 28 °C, while on Sunday, a clearer sky is expected, with temperatures rising to around 30 °C. Similarly, Rio de Janeiro will experience a comparable Saturday with occasional rain likely throughout the afternoon, but sunshine breaking through the clouds as temperatures are projected to reach near 30 °C.
Despite the promising outlook for the Southeast, the northern regions and certain areas between Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo are still bracing for storms, highlighting the contrasting weather experiences across the country this weekend. Residents should remain vigilant as localized storms could still pose risks, even as sunnier conditions become more prevalent in the Southeast.
