Miks Galvanovskis, a Latvian musician, recently attended the GAMMA music awards ceremony using crutches. He disclosed to 'Privātā Dzīve' that he suffered a significant injury to his right knee, involving torn ligaments and a broken bone, while playing basketball. Despite this setback, he remains determined not to cancel any upcoming performances and has adapted to his temporary mobility challenges, stating that life goes on and he can still perform on stage without crutches.

The GAMMA awards ceremony, which took place on March 5, honored artists in 31 categories. Notable winners included Fiņķis, who was recognized as the Solo Artist of the Year, Aminata as the Solo Artist of the Year for females, and the group 'Sudden Lights', which took home the title for Group of the Year. Rising artist Stirna also gained recognition in the New Artist category, spotlighting the diverse talent present in the Latvian music scene.

Fiņķis triumphed in multiple categories, including Song of the Year and Radio Hit of the Year for his track 'Baudam!'. He was also celebrated as the Hip-Hop Artist of the Year, making him the most awarded artist of the evening, showcasing his popularity and impact in Latvia's contemporary music landscape.
