US 'pursues' new supreme leader of Iran: Offers $10 million reward for Mojtaba Jamenei

The US government announced a $10 million reward for information leading to the new supreme leader of Iran, Mojtaba Jamenei, alongside similar offers for nine other high-ranking Iranian officials.

On Friday, the United States government declared a reward of up to ten million dollars for information that could lead to the capture of Mojtaba Jamenei, the new supreme leader of Iran. The announcement underscores the US's intensified campaign against the Iranian leadership, particularly targeting individuals believed to play significant roles in the Iranian regime's operations. This effort aims to undermine the stability of the current leadership amidst ongoing tensions between Iran and the US.

In addition to Mojtaba Jamenei, the US State Department has extended this bounty to include nine other high-ranking officials from Tehran. Notable figures among them are Ali Larijani, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, and the Intelligence and Interior Ministers, Esmail Jatib and Eskandar Momeni, respectively. This list also includes prominent military advisors and commanders associated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, emphasizing the US's intention to disrupt key components of Iran's military and intelligence operations.

The announcement reflects the broader geopolitical context in which the US is actively seeking to challenge Iran's influence in the region. By offering rewards for critical figures within the Iranian government, Washington aims to incentivize informants and weaken the leadership's control. This move may further escalate tensions between the US and Iran, potentially leading to more severe retaliatory measures from Tehran and a more complicated international landscape in dealing with ongoing conflicts involving Iranian interests.
