Amid rumors of LPG shortage, the VC of MJPRU makes a bold decision to cook on a traditional stove at home

The Vice-Chancellor of MJPRU, K.P. Singh, has decided to refrain from using LPG at his home for two months in a bid to counter rumors of an LPG shortage in Uttar Pradesh.

In response to the rampant rumors about a shortage of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in Uttar Pradesh, K.P. Singh, the Vice-Chancellor of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University (MJPRU), has taken a significant step by declaring that he will not use LPG in his home for the next two months. Instead, he intends to cook using a traditional stove. This initiative, as conveyed during a press honor event held at the university campus, aims to raise awareness among the public and dispel the unfounded fears surrounding the alleged gas scarcity.

During his announcement, Singh emphasized that there is no actual shortage of LPG and urged the community not to succumb to the panic induced by these rumors. He encouraged people to avoid hoarding gas cylinders unnecessarily and to use their resources wisely. His message called for calm and rational behavior, noting that individuals should not feel compelled to rely solely on gas for cooking.

Furthermore, Singh suggested that those who have alternatives at their disposal should consider using traditional cooking methods as a temporary measure. His decision and subsequent advocacy aim to address the misinformation circulating about LPG availability in the region, urging collective action to combat rumors that could lead to a more significant crisis if left unchallenged.
