The victim, Geeta Devi, claimed that after the gas cylinder ran out, she asked her husband to bring a new one, which triggered a furious reaction. Geeta Devi stated that her mother-in-law and sister-in-law, who heard the commotion, did not intervene to help her but instead sided with her husband, further exacerbating the violence.
