Man Dressed as a Clown Enters Classrooms at Ufal and is Reported for Harassment by Students

Students at the Federal University of Alagoas reported harassment incidents after a man dressed as a clown entered classrooms, prompting an investigation by the Civil Police.

Students from various courses at the Federal University of Alagoas (Ufal) filed reports of harassment after a clown entered several classrooms on the A.C. Simões campus in Maceió on Thursday (12). Following the incidents, the Civil Police have launched an investigation, and the university has also commented on the matter. Videos circulating on social media depict the man interacting with students and faculty, initially appearing to be an artistic intervention that soon turned unsettling for those present.

The individual has been identified as 51-year-old Paulo Henrique Deptuesqui. While he has not been arrested, the Civil Police of Alagoas have acknowledged the harassment claims, stating that he has made unwanted advances, including kissing individuals without consent and making sexual comments. At least one official police report has been filed, leading to the involvement of the Specialized Women's Police Station (DEAM) to handle the case.

The shocking nature of this event has raised alarm among the Ufal community, prompting discussions about safety and boundaries within educational institutions.
