Police in Palaio Faliro have arrested a 38-year-old man accused of raping a 14-year-old girl. The arrest was executed under a warrant issued by the Child Protection Sub-Directorate. According to the Hellenic Police (EL.AS), the suspect approached the victim through a social media post related to pet adoption, specifically for a cat, back in May 2025.

During their online communication, the suspect manipulated the conversation to gain the girl's trust, taking advantage of her minor status. After establishing a rapport under false pretenses, he coerced her into the criminal acts.
