Poles are increasingly choosing to vacation in apartments. Not just in the summer season

A report from Sun & Snow reveals that Poles are increasingly booking apartment stays year-round, with a notable rise in off-season travel.

In 2025, Sun & Snow, a company managing the rental of 3,000 apartments across 60 tourist destinations and cities in Poland, achieved over 100,000 bookings, marking a 10% year-on-year increase. This growth reflects a significant shift in the vacation habits of Polish travelers, who are now more inclined to explore tourism outside the peak season. The trend indicates a growing market for travelers seeking quieter and more intimate travel experiences, particularly in the winter and autumn months.

Notably, the company recorded the highest sales increases in February, March, and November, each seeing an approximately 30% boost. This change illustrates a transformation in the way Poles approach their holidays, moving away from traditional summer vacations to more flexible travel options throughout the year. According to Marcin Dumania, president of Sun & Snow, this new behavior demonstrates that travelers are looking for more tranquil environments without the hassle of crowded tourist spots.

Furthermore, the average stay in Sun & Snow's apartments held steady at four days, showcasing a trend towards longer, yet more spaced-out vacationing patterns. This growing preference for shorter trips indicates a cultural shift among Polish tourists, who now favor taking multiple breaks throughout the year rather than one lengthy holiday. Such changes in travel preferences are likely to influence how tourism services in Poland are structured in the future, paying more attention to off-season attractions and offering tailored experiences for these evolving traveler needs.
