Furthermore, the rising prices of oil and natural gas emanating from the conflict could exert pressure on Western nations to ease sanctions against Russia. Such a move would likely augment Russian financial resources, thereby complicating Ukraine's struggle against aggression. Rātfelders notes that any easing of sanctions could unwittingly bolster Russia's war efforts, making it imperative for Ukraine and its allies to maintain a coherent strategy in their support framework.
