In a significant enforcement action, the State Highway Police apprehended a large sum of cash—almost R$ 100,000—hidden under the spare tire of a Ford Fiesta during a routine inspection on the Tamoios Highway, specifically in Caraguatatuba, São Paulo, on Thursday. The motorist was subsequently taken to the police station for questioning after the discovery raised suspicions about the origins of the money, which was not substantiated by documentation.
